Why Get Fitted?
A 2004 fit study conducted by Wacoal proved that 8 out of every 10 women are currently wearing the wrong size bra. The Wacoal study, conducted among 750 women, also revealed that the most common mistake being made by women is wearing a bra in which the band is too big and the cups too small.

Here are some basic facts about your most intimate apparel:
- A bra should make you feel beautiful as well as enhance your wardrobe.
- A properly fit bra should contain, support, lift, and shape, your bust as well as be comfortable.
- You should be professionally fitted for a bra once a year.
- You must try on a bra before you buy it. (Think shoes, don't you always try on a pair before you purchase?)
- Always wash bras before you wear them for the first time.

Try this little quiz:
- Is your bra uncomfortable?
- Do your straps fall off your shoulders?
- Do the underwires poke or bother you?
- Does the back of your bra ride up?
If you answered yes to any of these questions you are probably in the wrong size bra or the wrong garment for your figure type. We are all too busy to be bothered by the wrong bra. Take 15 minutes, go visit a Wacoal consultant at your favourite store (check out our list of Wacoal retailers in the U.K.) and get measured.
Your bra size will change if:
- You gain or lose 5 - 7 lbs.
- You start or stop an exercise program
- Get pregnant or have just given birth
- Or if it has been more than one year since being measured.
Wearing a bra that properly fits the body can change the way you look and feel, yet too many women are hesitant to go for a bra fitting thinking it will be as traumatic an experience as trying on bathing suits. A professional bra fitting done by a trained fitter can be a fun and informative experience.
